Song of the Week | If I Leave by Jo Sumi

It really is one of the most beautiful korean songs I have listened to so far. I have seen different translations of the lyrics around the internet so I’m not quite sure if the following lyrics are correctly translated but nevertheless these are my favourite lines from the song..

When people remember me after I’m gone,
I hope they know that I even loved sadness.

  1. oooh, I like this song too! I first heard this song in the variety show Gag Concert, but I thought it was sung by Lee Sun Hee (her voice sounds similar), so I wasn’t able to find the song. Then I finally found the song at last when I heard it again in the drama Incarnation of Money! Made me so happy!!

    1. It’s such a beautiful song isn’t? I first heard in the drama Monstar and then looking for it I found the original version. It has sad but kind of hopeful lyrics don’t you think? I don’t watch variety shows..Should I? haha.. πŸ™‚

      1. Haha looks like this song is so famous it keeps popping up randomly in various shows. It was an OST for a very old drama so I think that’s why the lyrics are so meaningful (I always feel that OSTs have more meaningful lyrics to match the story).

Hmm, I don’t watch alot of variety shows, and there are a lot out there, so it depends on what kind you like. I think variety shows are a good way to know more about the stars’ personalities, so maybe you can try watching those that have celebrities you like in it πŸ™‚

        1. I also have heard that song in Heartstrings but only realised it now that I heard again in Monstar. It does seem that it’s quite famous, and I agree about the OSTs. If the OST is good then it gives a lot to the story.. And thanks for the advice about variety shows, I might try some of them.. πŸ™‚
